Jodi Legnon, Ph.D. is a professor and a mother of twin teenage boys, one with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).  Jodi's passion for special education began when she was an elementary classroom teacher. After earning her master's degree and her son was diagnosed with ASD, Jodi began sharing her knowledge with families, teachers, and other professionals. She has been affiliated with organizations that support children and families with disabilities in the community for several years.

In an endeavor to strengthen her knowledge base for effectively supporting children with special needs, during her doctoral courses at the University of Oklahoma, her research focused on inclusion for children with ASD. Jodi is currently a professor at Northeastern State University in the Department of Teacher Education.  Her passion for teaching and research for effective inclusion unite to encompass a more global influence through preparing teacher candidates for inclusion of children with ASD.
